 I find Alec Soth's currently website layout much easily to access his projects than previous layouts and designs. Despite a huge fan of his work, I've always found his website designs don't reflect the quality of work he produces.

    Laura Pannack

 Visual Laura Pannack's website looks contemporary and fresh. I would like as a viewer to see a more balanced layout with imagery and written content.

 Jo Metson Scott's website has a more balanced layout visually unlike Laura Pannack's website.

As a user of a number of websites including photographers, artists, painters, agencies, new feeds and so forth; what I look for is a website that you're able to access and navigate around easily. Strong visual content that is relevant to your research and viewing. 

Contemporary of its time however; if a certain design or layout reflects the artists work and theme then it makes more sense when viewing it. Keeping a website current and fresh, changing it around is always a nice way to keep your viewers engaged also.
