With the Christmas exhibition booked with the launch for the private viewing happening on the evening of the Thursday 13th December 2018, the class as a whole decided to create postcards with a local printing company to Ipswich. These postcards were to be used prior to the exhibition for promotional material, dotted around the University for other fellow students and then each student within the class was sent digital copies to share on social media handles to encourage and invite family, friends and those already within the industry.
The above image was sent over by a fellow peer with a template visual of how my image would look with the watermark representing the exhibition. It was decided between the two of us that this interior shot wasn't a great fit so was asked to send in another image. At the time of this process my work was still i na development stage so I had very few images that I was willing to exhibit however; below was the final image for the postcard design and also featured in this Christmas exhibition.
Despite the positioning of the watermark still crossing over with part of this portrait, it was mutually decided that this image worked far better than the interior. These postcards were also done free via the company, thanks to the connections a fellow peer had with one of the members of staff which saved us on outgoings and cost.
The above image was the template for the social media and digital promotional material to be used by all students. With all the relevant details and information, with the University logo which had to be approved by the University itself and get clearing before any student shared it publicly.
